About Release 4.01:
Release 4.01 comprises several new features and updates. User control over input audio formatting and internal resampling has been greatly improved. New functionality for error reporting and debugging has been implemented. A new remote client status report has also been made available. Numerous updates to the documentation have been made. DSP is now via shortcut names for filters.
HOW TO INSTALL GSASysCon:
To install and use this release, download the compressed archive. Move or copy it into your home directory and decompress it to create the GSASysCon file tree (see below).
For example, when using the tar.gz file (recommended under Linux) first unzip by typing:
gunzip GSASysCon-4.01.tar.gz
then decompress the tar archive by typing:
tar -xvf GSASysCon-4.01.tar
Finally, navigate to the docs folder by typing:
cd GSASysCon-4.01/system_control/docs/
Then read the file GSASysCon Installation Guide.txt for an overview and instructions on how to install and run the "first test".
After installation, the help doc "GSASysCon Basic Topics" will help you understand how GSASysCon works and gives an example of how to get started using the application and write your first system configuration.
