Rows ’n’ Calls + Some Fixes

This release has a nice quality-of-life feature and some bugfixes. Let's check it out.

New! Rows and Cols

Now you can set the output size the 1980s way: using rows and columns. This is an alternative to using pixels.

Fixed

• VHS action: fixed in v2.1.1. Make sure to check that out with this VHS version (v0.12.0)!
• Windows command console non longer hangs. Enjoy a hang free Windows VHS experience!

Verifying the artifacts

First, download the checksums.txt file and the checksums.txt.sigstore.json file files, for example, with wget:

wget 'https://github.com/charmbracelet/vhs/releases/download/v0.12.0/checksums.txt.sigstore.json'

Then, verify it using cosign:

  --certificate-oidc-issuer 'https://token.actions.githubusercontent.com' \
  --bundle 'checksums.txt.sigstore.json' \

If the output is Verified OK, you can safely use it to verify the checksums of other artifacts you downloaded from the release using sha256sum:

sha256sum --ignore-missing -c checksums.txt

Done! You artifacts are now verified!
