v1.0.0 — ChatterMate Chat for WordPress

Initial release of the official ChatterMate WordPress plugin.

Install

1. Download chattermate-chat.zip below.
2. In WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the zip → Install Now → Activate.
3. Go to Settings → ChatterMate Chat, paste your Widget ID from your ChatterMate dashboard, and save.
4. The chat launcher now appears on your site's front end.

What's in it

• One-click setup — no theme edits; the widget is injected via the standard wp_footer hook and survives theme changes.
• Widget ID setting (required).
• Script URL setting (optional) for self-hosted ChatterMate instances.
• No bundled JavaScript — the widget loads from ChatterMate's hosted service, so it stays auto-updated.

Requires WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 7.2+.
