Copilot Proxy v0.4.0

This release focuses on improving server reliability and logging clarity, building upon the XDG compliance and service management features introduced in v0.3.0.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Graceful server startup error handling: Fixed how server startup errors are reported to prevent immediate process termination via log.Fatalf within goroutines. Errors are now centralized and checked before entering the main shutdown wait loop, ensuring clean exit on binding failures.

🔧 Improvements

  • Improved logging clarity: Updated log messages in the serve command to provide more context during startup, shutdown, and failure scenarios, making server behavior easier to diagnose.

📦 Version Updates

  • Updated CLI version from 0.3.0 to 0.4.0

Installation & Upgrade

Service Management (macOS)

The proxy includes launchd integration with automatic GOBIN detection. Use the control script for service management:

./scripts/copilot-proxy-ctl.sh logs      # View service logs

Configuration Notes

  • Configuration follows XDG Base Directory Specification (~/.config/copilot-proxy/config.json)
  • Environment variables take precedence over config file
  • Multiple API key environment variables supported: ZAI_API_KEY, ZAI_CODING_API_KEY, GLM_API_KEY

  • API Version: 0.6.4 (maintains Ollama compatibility)
