Smart training checklist wiki
The idea: as a (beginner) pilot you need some assistance in configuring the B737. But sometimes you have a lot of time, or you want maximal realism, but sometimes you just want to get the plane in the air. And then there are conditions, like low temperature, short runway etc. Based on the excellent TrainingChecklist by Skymatix, the SmartTrainingChecklist enables you to select the profile & conditions your in and then the items that apply are presented.
- Export complete checklist as xChecklist file to use in-flight
- Optionally show who (PF/PM/CP/FO) should do an action (shared flight mode)
- Use Simbrief flight plan to set profile (Simbrief id is kept during the whole session)
- Use cookie to store Simbrief id
- prepare you flight as usual (Simbrief) and check departure conditions
- open fly.vdwaal.net
- OPTIONAL: enter your Simbrief id and hit "get plan" to retrieve the latest flight plan and automatically check temperature and runway related items.
- OPTIONAL: check remember me before you "get plan" to create a cookie that will enable automatic retrieval of your plan
- check items that are appropriate (todo detailed explanation) and hit next.
- On the procedure overview page you can
- Select the first procedure to start with and use the browser interface through all the checks
- select export xChecklist. A clist.txt file will be downloaded to be placed in the air-plane directory
In the Zibo and Avitab it is possible to load the website in the tab with a plugin, see links. To copy the clist folder to your plane directory I created a powershell script.
In general there are a lot data-refs missing or incorrect for xChecklist to be able to automatically check an item. As I am dyslectic, you probably find spelling errors too. Feel free to report them.
