Open Shipping Tracking v1.1.0: The Modernization & Feature-Rich Update
This is a major update that transforms Open Shipping Tracking from a simple utility into a robust, secure, and feature-complete plugin fully integrated with the modern WooCommerce ecosystem. Every aspect of the plugin has been enhanced for better performance, usability, and security.
Key Highlights of This Release:
🚀 High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) Compatibility: The entire plugin has been refactored to use modern WooCommerce CRUD methods. This ensures full compatibility with HPOS, leading to significant performance improvements and future-proofing your store.
✉️ Full WooCommerce Email Integration: The basic wp_mail function has been replaced with a dedicated WC_Email class. This means the shipping tracking email is now a native WooCommerce email, complete with its own customizable templates (both HTML and plain text) and settings found under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.
👆 Manual Email Trigger: You are no longer limited to sending tracking info only when an order is completed. A new "Resend Shipping Tracking Email" button now appears on the order edit page, giving you full control to send the notification at any time.
👤 Customer Account Integration: Customers can now view their shipping and tracking details directly on their "My Account" order view page, providing a much-improved user experience and reducing support inquiries.
Admin Order List Column: A new "Shipping Tracking" column has been added to the main WooCommerce orders list. This gives store managers at-a-glance visibility of which orders have tracking information without needing to click into each one.
🔒 Security Hardening: The plugin's forms are now secured with nonces and capability checks, ensuring that only authorized users can save or send tracking data.
