Installation and Compatibility Testing:

Description:

Installation Process Verification

1. verify we should able to install Chimple on Android version 5.1 and above all
2. verify installation from the play store and another source
3. Verify the installation process starts without any errors or crashes in all different android devices
4. verify if any specific errors or permission is required for specific devices
5. verify what permissions are required to install in various devices' storage usage and internet usage, allow the notification
6. Check for any specific Android requirements and verify if they are met during installation.
7. Verify once the installation is completed chimple app icon and Name should come in the Android menu
8. Verify the time taken to install in all different sizes of ram and Android devices(it should be a smooth installation)
9. Verify the error messages are meaningful and understandable when the app fails

Compatibility:

1. verify chimple is running smoothly without any errors or crashes in all Android devices (above Android 5.1)
2. Test the app installation in different language settings to verify the language support.
3. Test the app behavior when it's running on low memory and lower android
4. Verify the UI elements adjust and layout is properly coming in various Android devices and screen sizes
5. We should not change chimple language to mobile selected language
6. Evaluate the app's responsiveness and smoothness by using the main functionality and basic functionality
7. Verify that the app does not consume excessive ram, storage, battery, and internet

Uninstallation:

1. Verify app uninstallation without any error
2. Verify the smooth uninstallation
3. Verify app is not leaving any data after uninstallation

Functional Testing:

Validate all app features and functionalities against the requirements. Test UI elements, navigation, buttons, and links for proper functioning. Verify user interactions and inputs for expected behavior. Check error handling and messages for user-friendly feedback.

Priority 1: English, Maths, Hindi, Digital Skills Priority 2: Kannada

Description:

1. Parent language selection screen:

• Test the functionality of language dropdown and next button.

2. Login screen:

• Test functionality of Phone number login and Gmail login.
• Check the phone number text field, Send OTP button and Gmail login button.

3. Verify if the user is able to select between Parent or Teacher mode.
4. Create new Profile flow:

• Test the functionality of Child name text field
• Test the functionality of Age and Gender buttons.
• Test the functionality of selecting "Avatar" for the child.
• Test the functionality of Grade, Board, and Medium of Instruction Dropdowns.
• Check the functionality of Back button in every screen.

5. Profile selection screen:

• Verify if all the profiles are displaying in the screen.
• Check the functionality of Profile buttons, Create new profile button and Parent button.

6. Home screen:

• Verify all the UI elements Subjects button, Homework button, Search button, "For you" tab, "Liked" tab, "Played" tab.
• Test the functionality if Profile button.
• Check if the lesson cards are Playable under different tabs.
• Check if user is able scroll the lesson cards horizontally.

7. Subjects screen:

• Check if all the subjects are displayed on this screen.
• Check the functionality of all the subject buttons.
• Check the functionality of the chapter buttons, Grade dropdown, back button and lesson cards.
• Check if the chapters and lessons are scrollable.

8. Home work screen:

• Check the functionality of class code text field and "Okay" button.
• Verify when user enters class code pop-up should be displayed which contains school details.
• Check the functionality of the UI elements of the pop-up.

9. Search screen:

• Verify the search bar functionality.
• Test the horizontal scrolling of lessons.

10. Leader board screen:

• Test if all the data of the child is displaying in the screen.
• Test all the UI elements of the leader board.
• Test the Duration filter dropdown.
• Check the functionality of sign-out button.

11. Parent screen:

• Verify if the user is able unlock the parent lock.
• Test the functionality of Profile tab, Setting tab, Help tab and FAQ tab.
• In profile tab check the functionality of add profile, delete profile and edit profile.
• In profile tab check the functionality of Progress report button.
• In setting tab test the "Delete parent account" and "sign-out from parent account" Features.
• In setting tab test the functionality of Sound and audio toggle button and the language dropdown.
• Verify the links present in Help tab and FAQ tab.

Curriculum Testing:

Priority 1: English, Maths, Hindi, Digital Skills Priority 2: Kannada

Description:

1. Verify whether we are able to Play all the subject with proper chapter name, lesson name in selected language.
2. Verify is there any repeated content in same lesson.
3. Verify that we are able to enter right answer.
4. Check whether all the lesson have correct Audio and Image.
5. Validate the emoji's after comlietion of every level in the lesson.
6. Verify the 'Rank', 'Score', 'Count of lesson' and 'Time Spent' should be replicated in LeaderBoard.
7. Check whether the popup is displaying after completion of every lesson with 'Lesson Name' and 'stars'.
8. Check whether we able to like the lesson in the popup.
9. Varify the stars in all played lesson cards.

Connectivity Testing:

Test the app's behavior under various network conditions (Wi-Fi). Check for proper handling of connection drops and reconnection.

Description:

1. Verify the app connectivity in different wifi networks.
2. Verify the behaviour of app in good and poor wifi network.
3. Verify the app behavior when we lost the connection and Reconnected with same or different Wifi network.

Offline Functionality Testing:

Validate the app's behavior when there is no internet connection. Check if offline data sync is accurate and reliable.

Description:

1. Verify we are able to access the home page when we are in offline
2. Verify that we are able to play the previosly played lesson in the home page
3. Check whether able to like the lesson in offline
4. Check whether can we play new lesson which is not played previosly
5. Check whether user can access leader board
6. Validate whether scores are adding in leader board

Interrupt Testing:

Test how the app behaves during incoming calls, notifications, and interruptions. Verify that the app saves its state and resumes correctly after interruptions.

Description of scenario's:

1. Test if the user is able to interact with the app when notifications are received.
2. Test if the user is able to interact with the app when user gets any calls.
3. Check the behavior of the app when user gets flash messages.
4. Verify if the data of the user is present even after switching between other apps and returning to chimple.
5. Test the app behavior when the device goes to sleep and when reopened the app.
6. When user opens the status bar in the device while using the app check the behavior of the app.
7. Verify the behavior of the app when it is suddenly closed and reopened.

Usability Testing:

Evaluate the app's user interface for consistency, clarity, and ease of use. Verify that the app follows design guidelines and provides a smooth user experience. Check for accessibility features to support users with disabilities.

3. check whether user can enter the child name or child age easily.
4. verify users can understand the most imorant features are there.

Data transfer testing to Firebase

Description of scenario's:

1. Validate that the data or event is successfully sent and received by Firebase Analytics or Firebase Realtime Database Check key events like lessonend, first_open, gameEnd

App Performance Across Different Devices:

Test the app on low-end, mid-range, and high-end devices. Ensure the app performs well across different hardware configurations. Take any 3 devices and lets test and give our observation

Description:

1. Verify Launch and Response time
2. Verify the time chimple takes for the app to launch on different devices.
3. Verify that the chimple responds quickly and doesn't feel sluggish on all screens
4. Verify the smoothness of scrolling lesson cards
5. Verify Navigating Home screen, Homework, Search, Subject
6. Verify that there are no lags or jitters during scrolling and navigating from each screen
7. Verify the app performance when more apps are opened in the background and verify Chimple is running smooth
8. Verify the response of chimple when we turn off the internet and turn on it
9. Verify when the internet is switched chimple is slugging or crashing or freezing
10. Verify the chimple performance when we bought back chimple from recent apps
11. Verify the chimple performance when we bought back chimple from sleep
12. Verify Chimple is taking advantage of high-end devices and running smoothly
13. Verify that the chimple UI elements adapt correctly to different screen sizes and orientations in different Androids

App upgrade testing:

To ensure existing Chimple app can be upgraded to latest release app Ownership - Pramod

Description:

Playstore Update

1. Verify the new version Chimple update availability in the play store
2. Verify the updated information such as release notes, Images, and latest version information are available in the play store
3. Verify Chimple is not crashing when it's updating
4. Verify Chimple is openable once the update is completed
5. Verify Chimple is asking for Login authentication
6. Verify the student profiles are present after updating
7. Verify the data synch after updating from the play store
8. Verify the basic functionalities of chimple after updating
9. Verify all the updates are available to the user

In-app update

1. Verify in-app update screen should have a clear indication to notify the user
2. Verify Chimple should not crash in the updating process
3. Verify the time taken to perform the in-app update on different devices
4. Verify the new updates are available after updating
5. Verify whether all the basic functionalities are working or not
