What's new in v2.3.0

No static IP required

The display now finds the MiSTer automatically at boot via UDP broadcast. No need to configure a static IP on the MiSTer or set one in config.ini. A manually configured IP is still supported as a fallback for networks that block UDP broadcast.

No ScreenScraper developer account required

A free ScreenScraper member account is all you need - no developer registration or manual approval. The app provides its own developer credentials. Users with their own developer account can still override via config.ini.

Web flasher

Firmware can now be flashed directly from the browser - no Arduino IDE needed:
Open web flasher
Requires Chrome or Edge on desktop.

SD card content included

The repository now includes ready-to-use SD card layouts under SD_card_content/.

Installation

MiSTer side — install or update via MiSTer Downloader (recommended).

Display side — flash the firmware for your board using the web flasher.

After flashing, Copy the contents of your target folder to the root of the display's microSD card and edit config.ini with your WiFi and ScreenScraper credentials. See docs/configuration.md for the full reference.
