CodexBar-Windows v0.1.0-alpha.5

In-popover Settings and More release.

What changed

  • Settings now opens inside the tray popover.
  • More now opens inside the tray popover.
  • The tray context menu Settings and Diagnostics entries route back into the
    popover instead of opening classic Windows forms.
  • Added embedded controls for provider scope, refresh interval, launch at
    sign-in, start minimized, provider API-key setup, and provider enable/disable.
  • Added embedded diagnostics with raw CLI output, copy, config validation,
    config file/folder shortcuts, and provider compatibility.
  • Refreshed the visual design with a wider popover, segmented navigation,
    softer cards, styled WPF buttons, and cleaner spacing.

Install

Download CodexBar-Windows-v0.1.0-alpha.5-windows-x86_64.zip, extract it,
then run:

.\CodexBar-Windows.exe

First-time setup:

Settings > Provider Setup > select provider > paste API key > Save API Key

Known gaps

  • Windows Credential Manager storage is not implemented yet.
  • Browser cookie import for Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Chromium is not implemented yet.
  • Interactive CLI providers still need Windows ConPTY support.
  • The package is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn.

CodexBar-Windows v0.1.0-alpha.4

Provider setup and first-run polish release.

What changed

  • Added API-key setup controls in Settings > Providers.
  • Added provider enable/disable actions from the Windows Settings UI.
  • The app now defaults to configured providers instead of querying every known
    provider.
  • Saving an API key focuses the popover on that provider.
  • The popover now shows setup and Windows-pending states instead of raw red
    errors where possible.
  • Removed the duplicate DPI manifest setting so the Windows build is warning-free.

Install

Download CodexBar-Windows-v0.1.0-alpha.4-windows-x86_64.zip, extract it,
then run:

.\CodexBar-Windows.exe

First-time setup:

CodexBar-Windows v0.1.0-alpha.3

WPF popover repair release.

What changed

  • Replaced the broken WinForms popover from 0.1.0-alpha.2 with a WPF popover.
  • Provider rows now render as rounded cards with icon badges, status pills,
    progress bars, reset text, credits, cost, and error summaries.
  • The tray host, diagnostics window, install scripts, and CLI backend remain
    unchanged.

Install

Download CodexBar-Windows-v0.1.0-alpha.3-windows-x86_64.zip, extract it,
then run:

.\CodexBar-Windows.exe

Optional install into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\CodexBar-Windows:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\install.ps1 -Launch

CodexBar-Windows v0.1.0-alpha.2

Windows UI parity alpha.

What changed

  • Tray icon now opens a compact CodexBar-style usage popover.
  • Provider rows render as cards with usage bars, reset text, status, credits,
    cost, and error summaries.
  • The previous table dashboard is now a diagnostics window behind More and
    the tray context menu.
  • Settings now uses General, Display, Providers, Advanced, and About sections.

Install

Download CodexBar-Windows-v0.1.0-alpha.2-windows-x86_64.zip, extract it,
then run:

.\CodexBar-Windows.exe
