What's New in v0.11.0

Achievements & Badges πŸ†

  • New trophy case with 46 all-time achievements across five categories β€” Wordsmith, Storyteller, Dedication, Worldbuilding, and Craft & Revision β€” each with bronze/silver/gold/legendary tiers, progress bars, and unlock dates
  • Everything is retroactive: achievements are computed from the writing you've already done (words, chapters, streaks, characters, maps, snapshots, warm-ups…), so long-time users unlock their whole history the first time they open the app
  • Per-project badges: each book earns its own set of 18 badges β€” word milestones, goal progress (25% / 50% / 75% / Finish Line measured against that project's word goal), project streaks, "World Architect," and more. Badges live with the project and travel with backups
  • Unlock toasts slide in as you earn achievements; a summary toast handles big retroactive catch-ups
  • Open the trophy case from the sidebar footer or the Dashboard header β€” tabs switch between This Project and All-Time

Writing Streaks πŸ”₯

  • A streak flame now lives in the sidebar footer and Dashboard header showing your current writing streak
  • The flame burns orange when you've written today and dims with a nudge β€” "Write today to keep your N-day streak alive!" β€” when the streak is at risk

Dashboard

  • Project cards now show how many badges each project has earned
  • Fixed the loading skeleton so placeholder cards match the real card layout

Manuscript Health β€” accuracy overhaul

  • Paragraph breaks are now respected, so headings and unpunctuated paragraphs no longer merge into fake mega-sentences (average sentence length and long-sentence counts are now truthful)
  • Passive voice detection no longer flags phrases like "that was when," "is often," or "the sky was red" β€” and now catches passives with adverbs in between ("was quickly closed")
  • Sentence splitting handles abbreviations (Mr., Dr., Lt.…), closing quotes, and ellipses correctly
  • Dialogue percentage correctly handles multi-paragraph speech and no longer lets one unbalanced quote swallow whole chapters
  • Chapters marked "excluded from count" (notes, outlines) no longer skew the analysis
  • Far fewer -ly adjectives (silly, chilly, jolly…) miscounted as adverbs

Small things

  • Manuscript view added to the project tools menu (and draggable into a split pane)
