This release resolves the standalone command-availability mismatch reported in #2. archive-root is now included in release downloads, along with its .NET 6 and .NET 3.1 payloads. It was previously documented on master but absent from v0.0.8 binaries.
Changes:
- Fix the legacy .NET 3.1 build by isolating its projects and restore assets.
- Include the linked user guides and research notes in release archives.
- Correct source/release setup instructions, build prerequisites, controller service setup, and root-validation descriptions.
- Report missing OpenSSL and missing payloads with actionable instructions.
- Publish archive SHA-256 checksum files beside the downloads.
Requirements and limits:
- Archive-root requires a working Developer Mode SDB connection, the required Samsung file capabilities and runtime, and OpenSSL on the controller's PATH. It remains a temporary root session; it does not install a TV-side boot service.
- Runtime detection still rejects Samsung dotnet hosts that do not support
--list-runtimes, as reported in #1 and #5. Those compatibility issues remain open. - This release does not establish archive-root compatibility with the Q90T in #2 or resolve the M70D SDB connection problem in #4. Root compatibility, UEP bypass, and the host controller are distinct capabilities.
- No untethered-root implementation or code from the reported forks is included.
Validation: the offline suite, source audit, documentation examples, native host packaging, and release checksum checks passed. No live TV actions were needed for this release.
