KartPad v0.3.0-preview.3
Pre-releaseKartPad v0.3.0-preview.3
This import hotfix responds to a remaining iPad Files-provider failure reported
after Preview 2. It retains the Original Mario Kart Wii and Retro Rewind 6.12.4
dual-mode feature set and the A-button touch lock from Preview 2.
Game-data import
- The manual picker now asks iOS to provide KartPad with a local copy instead
of depending on open-in-place access from each Files provider. - The picker accepts generic files, data, disk images, and folders, then relies
on KartPad's existing disc-header, revision, and extracted-tree validation. - Import from KartPad Folder checks
.wbfsand.isoextensions before
provider directory/package metadata, fixing disc images misreported as
packages. - Temporary picker copies are removed after KartPad validates and privately
stages the game data. Files placed directly in the KartPad folder are never
removed.
After installing, use Import from KartPad Folder for a supported PAL
RMCP01 revision 0 .wbfs or .iso already in On My iPhone or iPad ->
KartPad. The manual picker is also supported, but iOS may need enough temporary
free storage to copy a 4.7 GB ISO before KartPad imports it.
Validation boundary
The focused import contracts, repository tests, property-list checks, complete
dual-mode Objective-C++ device build, deterministic packaging, and unsigned IPA
audit pass before publication. Reporter confirmation on the exact affected
iPad and Files provider remains requested.
Installation
The IPA is unsigned and must be re-signed before installation. Update in place
with the same bundle identifier and signing identity to preserve KartPad game
data and saves.
Distribution boundary
The IPA contains ahead-of-time translated game logic but no disc image,
extracted courses, textures, audio, Retro Rewind pack, saves, Apple signing
identity, or provisioning profile. This is a free, unofficial community preview
with unresolved upstream and game-code redistribution rights. See
RIGHTS_AND_LICENSES.md before redistributing or expanding its release channel.
Do not upload game images, extracted game data, Retro Rewind installations,
saves, signing credentials, or device containers when requesting support.
