v5.2.10
v5.2.10
- Bug fix: For block themes, the event page's tabs rendered at the bottom of the page below the event description and the event footer instead of above. Tabs now render in the right place. Classic themes were never affected.
- Bug fix: For block themes, the "Tournament Details" tab was missing, and it's inside its own tab again. Classic themes were never affected.
- Bug fix: For block themes, the Event Tickets "Get Tickets" form did not appear on an event that had tickets on sale. A new
etr_render_ticket_form_fallbackfilter turns this off for a site that generates its ticket form in another way. Classic themes were never affected. - Bug fix: An event with tickets on sale could show "Tickets are no longer available" when there were still tickets available for sale.
- Bug fix: For block themes with Tournament Manager active, a second "Standings" heading appeared below the event description in addition to the usual Standings tab. Classic themes were never affected.
v5.2.9
v5.2.9
-
Demo mode: Just one registration (ticket order) is created per test player instead of putting every test registrant under a single shared order.
-
Demo mode: The optional "Group some as family orders" checkbox can now combine test registrants into one shared order as before.
-
Bug fix: Section fields are now found by name (i.e. the name contains "section"). The first section is used by supporting plugins (e.g. Tournament Manager) and subsequent fields with "section" in the name are skipped.
v5.2.8
5.2.8
- Player cards on an event's Registration tab now have an Email button with a one-click mailto: to the registrant's contact email with an email subject line containing the event name.
- The player card now shows that attendee's ETECF admin note at the bottom (visible to admins and tournament directors).
- Event Tickets Registrations now tells you when a new version is available using Plugin Update Checker. Updates appear under Dashboard -> Updates and on the Plugins page like any other plugin, and your events, sections, and settings are untouched by an update. Nothing extra to install. Add
define( 'ETR_DISABLE_UPDATE_CHECK', true );towp-config.phpon a development or staging copy that should never check. - Internal code cleanup. The Demo mode / Tools code (previously one 800-line class) was split into smaller files, duplicated WordPress nonce and query helpers were consolidated, bulk cleanup queries were bounded, and repeated magic strings became named constants.
v5.2.7
5.2.7
- Renamed the "Import to Tournament Manager" button to "Create tournament", with a self-disabling busy state ("Creating tournament...") on click.
- Fixed the Print button's wall sheet so "Total registrations: N" no longer lands alone on its own trailing page. It now stays with the preceding section table.
- Re-verified all 50 Demo mode test players are active USCF members via the ratings API.
5.2.6
- Private test release.
- Moved Demo mode (test registrants) off the Settings page onto its own new "Tools" page, registered right after Settings in the admin menu. Settings now holds only genuine settings; all Demo mode UI and handlers live in the new
Etr\Toolsclass (includes/class-etr-tools.php). - Rebuilt the 50-player Demo mode pool with real, currently-active USCF member IDs and their real current Regular ratings (previously placeholder
9000000x-range IDs), sourced from the USCF ratings API and individually re-verified againstGET /members/{id}, so demo data now passes the same USCF validation Tournament Manager runs. The existing sideloaded avatars inassets/test-avatars/were keyed to the old fake IDs and no longer match the new ones; re-runfetch-test-avatars.php(in~/git/wp-etr-tools/) to fetch new ones, though most of these competitive players are unlikely to have a usable public-domain Wikipedia portrait, so expect the plain silhouette fallback for most. - Fixed the registrant detail card on the Registrations tab rendering too narrow, so long values (a USCF ID, a member name) wrapped one character per line. The card is wider now, and the label column is bounded so it can no longer starve the value column.
v5.2.5
- Added a "Validate players" button under the "Registrations" tab (next to "Pairing export") when Tournament Manager is active. It checks every registered player's USCF membership status against the USCF ratings API through the event's end date, with results shown right below the Registrations tab. This release just adds the button, and USCF validation is all in Tournament Manager.
v5.2.4
- Support for (optional) Tournament Manager: added an "Import to Tournament Manager" button (next to "Pairing export") when Tournament Manager is active.
- Enhanced tab functionality: tabs now have permalinks, and other plugins can add their own tab to the event page next to "Tournament Details" and "Registrations" (e.g. Tournament Manager's Standings, Wall chart, and Round entry tabs).
- Added a "Show profile pictures" per-event toggle (next to the Registrations tab toggle on the event page's meta box) that adds a photo column to the registrations tables, the CSV/pairing exports' underlying data model (
build_sections()), and the Print wall sheet. - Added "Demo mode" to Settings: give this plugin a whirl and add up to 50 famous chess players as test registrants to a chosen event. Test registrants appear in the Registrations tab, exports, and photo column, all without needing a real ticket sale via Event Tickets. A "Remove all test registrants" button clears them from the selected event. Adding test registrants requires an extra confirmation checkbox on sites WordPress report are production sites. Note that profile pictures are saved in the media library, which makes them reusable, e.g. in tournament recap blog posts.
v5.2.3
- Put a little email envelope icon (Unicode, so no additional assets are loaded) on a player card to make it easier to email registrants. Opens a
mailtolink addressed to the player with the name of the event in the subject.
v5.2.2
- Added an "Edit registration details" button to each player's card, linking to their ETECF registration form.
- USCF IDs now link to ratings.uschess.org.
- Added a setting to show / hide the registration count badge (on by default), with help text about page caching.
- Player cards set
DONOTCACHEPAGE, so a page cache can't store and serve it to anonymous visitors.
v5.2.1
Updating README "Versions" section with known versions of ETECF that ETR is known to work with.
