v0.0.5
HTTP/2 Client Library v0.0.5 - First Stable Release!
Holy shit, we made it! After countless 3AM debugging sessions and way too much coffee, I'm proud to announce the first stable release of this HTTP/2 client library!
What's New in v0.0.5
Core Features
-
RFC 7540 Compliant HTTP/2 Implementation - Because standards matter (even when they're a pain in the ass to implement)
-
Multiple Client Interfaces - From drop-in
net/httpreplacement to raw HTTP/2 access -
Stream Multiplexing - Handle thousands of concurrent requests like a boss
WARNING: Stream multiplexing implementation may not be 100% accurate yet. It works for most cases but edge cases might need more work. Use with caution in production!
-
HPACK Header Compression - Because nobody likes bloated headers
-
Flow Control - Proper per-stream and connection-level flow management
Why This Library Exists
Because sometimes the official lib decides to throw "connection reset by peer" errors at the worst possible moments, and you can't fix what you don't control. This lib was born in the trenches of a telecom system where downtime = angry phone calls from management.
What's Coming Next
- TLS Support - Because security matters (working on it!)
- Server Push - When the server knows what you want before you do
- More Benchmarks - Numbers are fun, and mine are bigger!
- Production Hardening - Already battle-tested, but we can always do better
Special Thanks
To all the 3AM debugging sessions that led to this moment. To the official golang HTTP/2 lib for... motivation. And to caffeine - the real MVP!
Important Notes
- This is the first stable release - it's production-ready but still evolving
- TLS support coming soon (don't @ me about it!)
- If you find bugs, congrats! You found an opportunity to contribute!
From the trenches of production systems to your codebase - enjoy the speed!
P.S. - If this saves you from even one 3AM debugging session, my work here is done!
