@ciembor ciembor released this 01 Oct 16:00

Highlights

  • Recover missing old ref values using the prepared/committed reference-transaction hooks and private state in the Git directory. No new command wrappers.
  • Restore branch and tag deletions, notes and stash updates, remote pruning, and supported HEAD transitions across Git versions.
  • Isolate concurrent transactions and safely reject corrupt or unsafe snapshot state; aborted transactions are cleaned up.
  • Extend real-Git integration and compatibility tests, and enforce 100% line, function, and region coverage.
  • Update README, website, compatibility documentation, and package metadata.

Upgrade

Run ghe install again in each repository after upgrading so config-based hooks use exec git-hooks-ext reference-transaction.

Remaining Git limitations

Some branch renames lack destination information in Git's transaction payload. Remote branch rename detection requires Git 2.55, and complete plain git worktree lifecycle detection still requires the existing worktree wrapper. This release does not move any additional behavior into wrappers.
