I build production-grade developer tooling, desktop applications, and simulation platforms — primarily in complex scientific and engineering domains. Based in Coventry, UK.
I sit at the intersection of rigorous engineering practice and complex scientific domains — turning messy, organically-grown codebases and ad hoc scripts into maintainable, scalable software that ships.
Currently at ZeBeyond, where I:
- Co-architected ePOP Pro, a 1M+ line compiled MATLAB desktop application deployed to 10 enterprise clients — zero end-user licence required
- Built a multi-domain physics engine covering mechanical, thermal, and electrical modelling
- Contributed to an in-house Simulink-to-MATLAB transpiler for standalone model deployment
- Hellped roll out Claude Code and AI-assisted code review across the engineering team, achieving an estimated 5× increase in individual engineer output

| 🏗️ | Co-architected a 1M+ line compiled MATLAB application shipped to 10 enterprise clients |
| 🤖 | Pioneered AI-assisted engineering workflows — 5× productivity gains in a production team |
| ⚡ | Developed FRM, a reduced-order dynamics simulation tool delivering a 60× speed-up (90 min → 90 sec) while maintaining 90% accuracy against high-fidelity Simpack models |
| 🛠️ | Delivered LHAS (daily use by 20 vehicle dynamics engineers) and contributed to ATOM (used by 500 engineers across JLR for vehicle build traceability) |
| 👥 | Led teams of up to 11 engineers across chassis, body, and powertrain disciplines at JLR |
| 🔬 | PhD in automotive engineering — ANN-based ride comfort prediction, published in Neural Computing and Applications |
| 🚗 | Hands-on vehicle testing on proving grounds and public roads; JLR Class 3 & 3PG certified |
| 🛩️ | SPL Glider Pilot — ASW20C owner, including hands-on maintenance of aircraft and avionics |
After a PhD co-funded by HORIBA MIRA — where I built signal processing pipelines and trained ANNs to predict human ride comfort from biometric and vibration data — I moved into industry-facing software engineering.
At JLR (Gaydon) I led data science and software architecture teams, delivering named production tools used daily across the organisation: LHAS for vehicle dynamics test data analysis, FRM for rapid reduced-order simulation (a 60× speed-up over full Simpack sweeps), and contributions to ATOM, a vehicle build tracking platform with 500 users. I defined Git workflows, code review culture, CI/CD infrastructure, and mentoring programmes for teams starting from zero engineering practice.
At ZeBeyond I've gone deeper into systems design, plugin architecture, and REST API development — and made AI-assisted development a core part of how the team operates day-to-day.
