cipi app run always failed with /usr/bin/env: '--': No such file or directory — GNU env treats a bare --afterNAME=VALUE assignments as the command to execute (not an option terminator). app_run was invoking /usr/bin/env -C … VAR=1 -- cmd, so every whitelisted command (including GUI “App commands”) exec’d --. Now: /usr/bin/env -C "$workdir" VAR=… cmd args….
cipi basicauth enable / vault writes on remount-ro root — when the kernel remounted / read-only, mkdir /etc/nginx/cipi-basicauth and vault_write apps.json failed (Read-only file system), while _basicauth_set_user still returned success because trailing chown/chmod used || true. lib/vault.sh: mutating writes call _cipi_ensure_config_writable (probe → best-effort mount -o remount,rw / → re-probe); read paths keep using _cipi_config_writable only (no remount on source / db list). lib/app.sh: basicauth credential writes fail closed with a clear error if the filesystem stays read-only. Migration 5.0.4 remounts on cipi self-update when /etc/cipi is still RO.
