Anything can fly. Pipe text into cbirds and the text is the flock: fastfetch | cbirds, figlet hello | cbirds, ls --color=always | cbirds, or cbirds --text poem.txt. It opens with the text exactly as the command printed it, in its own colours, then a wave sends the letters off, they fly as a flock, and every letter lands back on its own cell. Enter sends them off or calls them home, the pointer scatters the ones it touches, and hawks hunt them as arrows. With text on a pipe the keys are read from the terminal itself, on Linux and macOS alike, so cmd | cbirds no longer stops with "Inappropriate ioctl for device". Recordings take text too: fastfetch | cbirds --record fetch.gif is one whole cycle, and it ends on the text.

brew install clainstone/tap/cbirds

or, on Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.04 and later, from the apt repository. The .deb files are attached below. Everything else is in the README.
