OpenNura for Mac 1.0.0

Control your Nuraphone from macOS — and recover its device key with no iOS or
Windows device required. This is a notarised build of this fork of
jamesy0ung/opennura.

⚠️ Hearing safety — read first

This is unofficial, experimental software that drives headphone hardware over a
reverse-engineered protocol. Use it entirely at your own risk. The first
time you connect, keep the in-ear tips out of your ears. If you ever hear a
loud or unexpected noise, remove the headphones and power them off. See the
README
for the full disclaimer.

Install

  1. Download OpenNura-1.0.0.dmg below, open it, and drag opennura to
Applications. The app is signed and notarised, so it opens without warnings.
  2. Pair your Nuraphone in macOS Bluetooth settings (if it isn't already).
  3. Launch the app and hit Connect. By default it briefly drops the
headphones' audio link to get a clean handshake — resume your music once
connected. Grant Bluetooth access when asked.
  4. First time only: recover your device key via Recover key from Nura
(sign in with the Nura account your headphones are registered to). Then
back the key up from the Devices tab — Nura's servers may not stay online
forever, and with the key saved the app works fully offline.

Features

  • Noise control (Off / ANC / Passthrough) and Personalised/Neutral sound mode
  • Immersion (−2…+4), applied per hearing profile
  • Profile switching, renaming, empty-slot display, and (on firmware > 510) a
    hearing-signature view with profile comparison
  • Touch-button remapping for single and double tap
  • Global hotkeys (⌃⌥↑/↓ immersion, ⌃⌥A ANC/Passthrough, ⌃⌥←/→ profiles —
all rebindable in the Shortcuts tab)
  • Menu bar app for quick tweaks without opening the window
  • On-Mac device key recovery, stored in the Keychain

Requirements

  • A recent macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel), classic Nuraphone (over-ears)
  • For key recovery: your Nura account, and Nura's backend still being online
