v1.4.0 (Preview)

  • Add "Always allow read-only operations" setting to let Claude read files and view directories without needing approval (off by default)
  • Implement sliding window context management to keep tasks going past 200k tokens

(This is a pre-release version, so you'll need to go to VSCode Marketplace > Claude Dev > Switch to Pre-Release Version. Enabling this will keep you updated with future pre-release versions, so if you ever want to opt out you can go back to this page and switch back to Release Version.)
