Performance improvements by storing time as an int64 (8 bytes) instead of a time.Time (24 bytes). Created a package for that purpose: https://github.com/clipperhouse/ntime

Looks like ~40% improvement in s/op, or ~70% improvement in ops/s.

API unchanged.
