v1.1.0
The first public release of Switcher for Claude Code. Switch between your Claude accounts in VS Code without signing in every time, keep an eye on every account's limits, and give a folder its own account.
What's inside
- The Claude Accounts page. Every saved account on one page, as an editor tab or in its own sidebar view. See each account's 5-hour and weekly use, switch with one click, and give accounts a name, colour and icon.
- Usage in the status bar. Your current account's limits at a glance. Hover for every account's 5-hour, weekly and Fable use with the time left until each resets, and click to update them all.
- Folder pins. Give a folder its own account, while every window keeps sharing the same chat history.
- Remote Control and Artifacts per account. Turn either off for the accounts that shouldn't use them.
- Figures that stay live. Saved logins are renewed quietly in the background so their usage stays current, without ever touching the login Claude Code is using.
Install
Download switcher-for-claude-code-1.1.0.vsix below, then run:
code --install-extension switcher-for-claude-code-1.1.0.vsix
Reload VS Code and your account appears at the bottom right. Open the Claude Accounts page from the activity bar to save it and add your others.
Works on Windows, macOS and Linux. Saved logins are encrypted with your system's own credential store, and the extension has no servers of its own and no telemetry.
Coming from 1.0
Installing 1.1.0 upgrades it in place, and your saved accounts carry over. Backup/Restore and the old per-window modes are gone: folder pins replace those modes, and an older setup is moved over automatically the first time 1.1.0 starts.
