v0.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Sep 16:41
bd77596

A runtime for the cluster. An SDK for the app. Your application talks to a local daemon. The daemons form the cluster.

0.2.1

Added

  • Run on Kubernetes: same Linux host model, one daemon per node
  • Helm chart: helm install clusdr oci://ghcr.io/clusdr/charts/clusdr --version 0.2.1. Join is still clusdr join. Catalog: Artifact Hub
  • ClusdrCluster CRD and clusdr-operator. One apply: https://clusdr.io/download/clusdr-operator-bundle.yaml. Image: durguto/clusdr-operator
  • Operator: omit spec.seedNodeName — it writes status.seedNodeName, then init + --bootstrap. Prepare DaemonSet chowns hostPath. WARNING column if two CRs exist
  • clusdr health (Runtime RPC) and clusdr leave (the only way to remove a Raft member)
  • Linux archives and install.sh from GitHub Releases (https://clusdr.io/download/ 302s there)
  • Buf for proto; BSR modules buf.build/clusdr/api and buf.build/clusdr/internal

Changed

  • A crash marks a member dead without removing it from Raft. clusdr leave is how a member leaves. Restart with the same data.dir is clusdr start, not another join
  • Member status is alive or dead only
  • clusdr init succeeds (no new token) when identity already exists
  • gRPC message names follow Buf STANDARD. RPC paths and field numbers are unchanged
  • Go SDK: missing client PEMs fail TLS setup instead of dialing plaintext

A hyphen in this tag is a prerelease: :latest, latest.json, Artifact Hub metadata, BSR, and language SDK registries stay on the last GA.

Install

curl -fsSL https://clusdr.io/install.sh | sh

Linux amd64/arm64. Image: durguto/clusdr:0.2.1 (GHCR ghcr.io/clusdr/clusdr). Operator: durguto/clusdr-operator:0.2.1.

  --namespace clusdr --create-namespace \
  --set seed.nodeName=<node>
