Portable preview for Claude Code, Codex and local models through Codex OSS.

Download the ZIP, extract it, then run python3 install.py on macOS/Linux or py -3 install.py on Windows. Run steward init, steward demo and steward doctor. The demo uses no model account.

Includes tagged projects, provider-owned resumes, an explicit checkpoint handoff to another provider, a queue watcher and portable process locks. Task transfer starts a fresh native conversation. Copy project files and authenticate each destination CLI separately.

Validation: all 112 existing checks and 19 integration tests pass on Windows, macOS and Linux. Linux also passes with Python 3.9. Tests use disposable state and fake CLIs. A real Codex run completed. The installed Qwen 9B model failed the live task, so successful real local-model completion remains unverified.

Local use requires Codex OSS, an existing Ollama/LM Studio server and a tool-capable model. Codex/local dollar cost is unknown and no dollar cap is enforced. Automatic context rotation, checkpoint nudges and fallback models remain Claude-only. The machine must stay awake for queued work.

The package code remains reviewable in PR #1. This preview does not replace the existing live tracker installation.
