The PRs seem not to be merged in latest 53x release? Could you please comment more.

It has been merged with this: cms-sw/cmsdist@f0c5208 and you can confirm by setting up the environment of a recent 5_3_X and then doing
scram tool info cmsswdata | grep -i evtgenin
which will show you that it indeed points to version 02-00-06 (the one where this PR has been merged).

Sorry but I do not understand the technical details. All I need is the PR should be in use at the latest release - in this case 5_3_34 now. Will it be?

Executing the same commands on 5_4_34 gives the same answer, so yes, it should be there.

I'm afraid it is somehow not there. I test it in McM and also in local and the error shows up every time.
edm::FileInPath unable to find file GeneratorInterface/ExternalDecays/data/evtX5568cBumod2.pdl anywhere in the search path.
The search path is defined by: CMSSW_SEARCH_PATH
${CMSSW_SEARCH_PATH} is: /afs/cern.ch/user/o/oozcelik/CMSSW_5_3_34/src:/afs/cern.ch/user/o/oozcelik/CMSSW_5_3_34/external/slc6_amd64_gcc472/data:/cvmfs/cms.cern.ch/slc6_amd64_gcc472/cms/cmssw/CMSSW_5_3_34/src:/cvmfs/cms.cern.ch/slc6_amd64_gcc472/cms/cmssw/CMSSW_5_3_34/external/slc6_amd64_gcc472/data

The data file you are refering to has nothing to do with this one: GeneratorInterface/ExternalDecays, this is EvtGenInterface
