v0.7 - Classic Controller & Nunchuk Support + Minor Fixes
Changelog from v0.6
New
- Nunchuk Support
- Classic Controller Support (Should mean that this is functional with the Wii U Gamepad, but I don't have the hardware to test that.)
- 16:9 Aspect Ratio is Visually Improved - Now, widescreen does not stretch the game and leaves it at its correct original aspect ratio.
Fixed
- Minestorm -> Mine Storm on the title screen.
- Controller type is auto-picked based on what is plugged in, and what the user first uses to input on the title screen. (i.e. if you have a Classic Controller or Nunchuk plugged in, it'll pick that up by default) By extension, [GC] should no longer show as an option in the menu if you do not have a GameCube controller plugged in.
Notes
I've fully tested Nunchuk support and it works well. I don't have a Classic Controller, but from what I was able to do in Dolphin, it seems like it works just as well. Please let me know if there are any issues.
v0.6 - Bug fixes, New ROMs, QOL improvements.
Changelog from v0.5.1
New
- Pitcher's Duel prototype ROM and overlay
- Star Ship (The European copyright-adherent version of Star Tr*k) ROM and overlay
- Opacity slider for glow
Fixed
- Dolphin emulates at full speed now instead of at slideshow pace
- Backing out of any settings sub-menu places the cursor on that setting, instead of resetting the cursor to the top.
Notes
Some default values for settings were changed, this is purely preferential and you can always change the settings to whatever you want
v0.5.1 - Copyright adherence
This is just a small patch which has removed the ROMs for Bezerk, Pole Position, and Star Trek. All mods derived from these ROMs have been removed as well, due to the nebulous nature of these licensed titles.
v0.5 - Revival
Changelog from Aruskano's v0.3
New
- Full sound support — the AY-3-8912 is finally emulated and works great
- Built-in game library — official Vectrex releases, prototypes, mods/hacks, and homebrew demos, browsable on-console
- Built-in overlays — bundled for every official game, prototype, and mod
- Redesigned cartridge browser — category select (NA (Mine Storm) / Official / Mods / Prototypes / Demos / SD)
- Settings on the title screen — tweak overlay, color, glow, persistence & screen size before booting, with a live preview (preview reflects screen size, overlay opacity, and vector color; glow and persistence are motion effects and don't show on the still)
- Screen size adjustment — shrink the picture for CRT overscan (applies to the title screen too)
- Credits scroll
- Remembers your last-selected cartridge
Fixed
- Memory-leak crash — no longer crashes after loading a number of ROMs (the old "more ROMs = fewer loads before crashing" bug)
- Emulation timing — no longer runs too fast / bursty, incl. the "full speed for a few seconds after unpausing" glitch
Notes
- BYOR (your own SD ROMs) still works exactly as before
- Configurable button mapping / Nunchuk / Classic Controller support still TBA
