Effective date: July 8, 2026

SpellVPN is a paid-download VPN client. We respect your privacy and keep imported configurations and diagnostic data on your device whenever possible.

Data We Collect

The current version does not collect personal data, does not include advertising SDKs, does not include third-party analytics SDKs, does not create user accounts, and does not track users.

Data Stored On Device

SpellVPN stores the VPN configurations, subscription URLs, proxy links, virtual adapter settings, and local logs that you import or create. This data is used to start VPN sessions, show status, import or export configs, and diagnose connection issues.

This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Camera and Photos

SpellVPN requests camera access only to scan QR codes for importing VPN configurations or subscription links.

When you import a QR code from Photos, the app processes only the image you select in order to detect QR content.

Network Connections

SpellVPN does not provide built-in servers, sell proxy nodes, or host user traffic. Your imported configuration may contain subscription URLs, DNS servers, proxy servers, or other network endpoints. During a connection, the app and Packet Tunnel extension access those endpoints according to the configuration you provide.

Those third-party services are selected by you or provided by your configuration, and their privacy practices are not controlled by us.

Logs

The app may generate local connection logs, validation messages, and diagnostic logs to help troubleshoot issues. Logs stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Children's Privacy

SpellVPN is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, crash reporting, customer support systems, push notifications, or other data collection, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy labels.
