Kharcha 1.0.0 for Android

Download Kharcha-v1.0.0-android.apk below to install Kharcha on Android 7.0 or newer. This is a signed, standalone APK; Expo Go and a Render account are not required for the local ledger.

Kharcha lets you record expenses manually, review transactions parsed from enabled bank SMS senders, set budgets, and create encrypted backups when you configure the optional Render service. SMS processing happens on the device. The Android app asks for SMS access only when you enable the reader; review parsed entries against your bank records.

Install

1. Download the APK on your Android device.
2. Open the download and allow installation from your browser or file manager if Android asks.
3. Open Kharcha. Manual entry works immediately. Enable Read my bank SMS only if you want inbox scanning.

This APK is distributed directly through GitHub, not Google Play. It has not been smoke-tested on a physical Android device. If you already have an APK signed with a different key under dev.kharcha.app, uninstall it before installing this one; export any data you need first.
