Archived (October 2026). This is the earlier Camera Bridge for Mac, which is no longer updated. A new Camera Bridge for Mac is coming soon. For now, Camera Bridge OS (beta) is the way to run Camera Bridge: see the newest os-v* release or https://www.camera-bridge.app/download. Copies already installed keep working.

Camera Bridge 1.0.1 is a fix release. It is free for personal use.

Fixed

  • Live view stuck on "Loading" in the Home app on the Mac that runs Camera Bridge, while a virtual machine or container tool (OrbStack, Docker Desktop, UTM, Parallels) was running. Home connected over the virtual network that tool creates, and Camera Bridge sent the video from an address that has no route back to the Mac. Camera Bridge now sends from the Mac's own network address when the Home app is on the same Mac.

Live view on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod is unchanged.

Install

  1. Download the DMG.
  2. Drag Camera Bridge to Applications.
  3. Open it.

Camera Bridge 1.0 updates to 1.0.1 by itself. It needs macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Camera Bridge is free and source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. Commercial use needs a licence: legal@camera-bridge.app. Third-party notices are in NOTICE and THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md.
