What's new

  • Add a portable Windows x64 single-file EXE package.
  • Add an Apple Silicon macOS App distributed in a DMG with an Applications shortcut.
  • Automatically build and attach desktop packages and SHA-256 checksums after publishing a GitHub Release.
  • Add packaged-app update checks that open the latest GitHub Release instead of replacing unsigned binaries.
  • Add bilingual installation guides for unsigned Windows and macOS builds.

Important

These personal-project desktop builds are unsigned. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. macOS requires Gatekeeper Open Anyway approval and may require Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions again after updates. Intel Macs are not supported.

Verification

  • 88 tests passed.
  • Python wheel and source distribution checks passed.
  • Windows frozen executable smoke check passed.
