Kiln 1.3.2
Added
- Use a decoration you already saved (Pro). A saved decoration — a logo, a
texture, a pattern — now goes straight onto a model at the exact depth and
placement it recorded, with fewer snags. Served via kiln-pro; see
https://kiln3d.com/pricing.
Changed
- Your design now stands on your real print bed. The 3D stage drew
the same square plate for everyone; where Kiln knows which printer is yours
it now draws that machine's actual bed, with its name on it — in the web
studio, in shared view links, and in the panel in your chat. A part too big
for the bed says so: on the model and in the size line.
Fixed
-
Your logo now prints exactly the way you drew it — gaps stay open,
corners stay sharp, dashed lines stay dashed. -
Repair says what it could not fix — instead of reporting success
on a mesh it left untouched, it names the defect and what to do about it. -
Decorated models come out as clean, watertight solids — carving a
logo or text no longer leaves hairline seams that make other tools reject
the file. -
Material suggestions better respect your hotend.
-
More split pieces come back with pins in them (Pro) — Kiln used to skip
pins on some cuts it can now handle, like a panel with a brace behind it. -
"Trust this browser" now actually works (Business/Enterprise) — it used
to still demand your authenticator code on the next call. Admin actions
still require a fresh code. -
A cloud hiccup no longer reads as an empty library (Pro) — if Kiln can't
reach your saved work for a moment, it now says the read failed instead of
answering with an empty list.
