2.4.0 - More Secure, Less Races
Data is now stored scrambled. Note: It is not encrypted, since the goal of this project is to maintain backward compatibility with retro devices that can't do much in the way of crypto. However, the scramble is salted with each user's chess move, so its semi-private.
Existing tasks are stored plain until edited. New tasks will be scrambled -- if you see a scrambled result, you need to update your client!
Race conditions have been resolved by separating the view model from the data model (and syncing them in the background).
webOS Users can now save their credentials in their webOS Community account (or remove them, if they desire.
Self-host with Check Mate service, or use the public version (and PWA) here: checkmate.wosa.link
2.1.0 Beta
This pre-release tests a modernized build system, upgraded by Claude, that allows targeting new Android SDK versions and builds with modern NodeJS and Cordova. It retains backward compatibility with webOS by switching Node and Java versions during the build.
Bug fix release
Adds a dark(er) mode based on OS preference.
Worked with Claude to solve some troublesome race conditions:
- Less chance of duplicate item creation
- Less chance of failed item creation
- Less chance of deletion failure
Also fixed building on modern macOS and Linux.
2.0 Cross Platform Release
Builds on modern Mac and Linux for all target platforms. This version begins some work on an offline mode.
1.0.1
Move to new app domain, implement changes required by Google to target higher API version.
1.0.0 - Initial Release
