Attach both files, even though they are also in download/. The Release
copies are what GitHub counts downloads for, and they stay reachable
after a later version replaces the ones in the repository.
The first release. A browser that leaves nothing behind, for Windows and
Android.
No history, no cookies, no cache. Everything from a session is gone the
moment the app closes, so whoever picks up the device next finds an empty
browser. There is no private mode to switch on, because there is no other
mode.
Downloads
| File | Size | |

11.2 MB |
| Android 7.0 and up | IncognitoBrowser.apk |
54 MB |
Android is also on Google Play, where the download is about 8 MB because
the store sends only the parts your phone needs. The APK here carries
every kind of phone in one file and needs no Google account.
Both are signed: the installer by the developer, the APK by Google Play,
so installing this file and updating from the store later both work.
What it does
- Nothing is written down. Cookies, local storage, databases and the
cache are wiped, not hidden. - Blank in the app switcher. Other browsers show a live picture of
the page you were reading; this one shows an empty card. Taking a
screenshot yourself still works. - Ads and trackers stopped. Requests to 93,000 known advertising and
tracking domains never leave the device. The list ships inside the app
and is never fetched over the network. - Popups wait for you. Windows that open on their own, and redirects
you did not ask for, are held back and shown first. - Cast to a TV. Video and audio from any page, to a Chromecast or to
a Samsung or LG over DLNA. - A real Windows version. Registers with Windows as a browser you can
set as default, opens local files, and throws its whole profile away
when the window closes.
Before you install
Windows will warn you. It says the publisher is unknown, because this
app has no paid signing certificate yet. Click More info, then Run
anyway. The installer needs no administrator rights and installs for
your user only.

Android asks before installing a file. The first time it will say the
source is not allowed and offer a settings screen. Switch it on for
whichever app you downloaded with, go back, and the install continues.
Known limits
- The ad blocker works on domain names, so it stops requests to known ad
servers but cannot hide an empty space where an ad would have been, and
cannot catch ads served from the site's own domain. - Casting to a Samsung takes 15 to 20 seconds to switch streams. The TV
needs that pause; it is not stuck. - The cast button only appears once a TV has been found, which can take
up to about 45 seconds, and both devices have to be on the same Wi-Fi.
