Release Notes
Multi-harness Phase 1 — confer detects your agent session across runtimes (Claude Code + Grok Build).
- Session detection is now harness-agnostic. confer reads the session id from each supported
runtime's env (CLAUDE_CODE_SESSION_ID,GROK_SESSION_ID) and hook stdin (session_idand
camelCasesessionId). Under Grok Build — which exposes the session only to hook processes, not to
thearm/watchprocess — confer recovers it from~/.grok/active_sessions.json(only when running
under Grok, matched narrowly by process ancestry / cwd so co-resident sessions don't collide, and
declining rather than guessing if ambiguous). This restores per-session watch ownership on Grok,
keeping multi-session heal safe. confer arm --session <id>/confer watch --session <id>— an explicit override for a harness
that hides the session id, or an ambiguous multi-session case. Precedence: flag > env > disk.
