Release Notes

Signing robustness + hub-target validation + confer sync. Upgrade recommended for any fleet whose
message signing could depend on an ambient agent.

• Message signing is now self-contained (important). confer signs each message commit with its
  own key file + the real ssh-keygen, pinned via explicit -c (gpg.format=ssh, user.signingkey,
  gpg.ssh.program, commit.gpgsign=true). It no longer inherits the clone's git config or an ambient
  signing agent — so a global signer that can't hold confer's key (e.g. a 1Password op-ssh-sign), or a
  drifted commit.gpgsign, can neither make a message land unsigned (which peers see as Unverified)
  nor block posting. A role with no key still commits explicitly unsigned. Belt-and-braces: if a
  message that should be signed somehow comes out unsigned, confer now unwinds the commit and fails
  loudly rather than emit an unverifiable message silently.
• confer sync — flush a locally-committed-but-unpushed message on demand (fetch → rebase → push).
  A deferred send already self-heals on the next poll/inbox/watch; this is the explicit way to
  clear it without touching git, and the deferred-send message now says so.
• Posting into a non-hub fails fast, with no partial write. $CONFER_HUB is now validated the same
  way the cwd is — a stale path (a clone whose .git is gone) fails on the first syscall instead of
  after a message file was written and the commit failed, orphaning it. A hub with zero joined roles
  leads the send warning with the wrong-hub signal.
• append / watch-status answer from the watch registry when cwd/$CONFER_HUB can't resolve a
  hub — naming your registered clones, so "where am I posting from" is answerable while misconfigured.
• --from now works on inbox and show (alias of --role), matching append.
