Release Notes

Round-2 field-note fixes from Lela's Work Orbit + orbit fleets — an inbox that actually clears, a peer-liveness heads-up, and paved-path polish.

• confer inbox now marks the mail it shows you as read. It always claimed to (the skill and the
  command's own docs said so) but didn't — so the watch kept re-firing "N unread" after you'd read
  your mail, which bit every agent in a fresh onboarding. A full-body confer inbox now marks each
  displayed message read, per-message (deferred / not-yet-synced mail is untouched); --peek stays a
  non-consuming triage list and --json a non-consuming query.
• A heads-up when you address a peer whose watch is down. confer append / confer request --to <role> now prints a non-blocking ⚠ when an addressed peer's watch is stale or down
  (summarized for --to all / groups), so you don't sit waiting on a reply from an agent that's
  asleep. It reads only verified presence — a forged heartbeat can't fake or suppress the warning —
  and never affects whether the message sends.
• Paved-path polish (all from the field notes):
  • confer doctor no longer counts an unused interactive SSH signer as an action item — it's a
    real warning only when signing is actually on (so it still catches the genuine headless-signing
    hang, just not the harmless leftover-global case).
  • confer ack / confer show on a pasted ⟦untrusted:…⟧ frame token now explain that token is a
    per-render nonce, not a message id, and point you at the real short id.
  • confer keygen --out <path> writes a signing key to a chosen path (still refuses to overwrite).
  • confer clone --managed no longer prints a misleading staging dir: as if it were the final
    location.
  • The /confer-watch skill text is corrected: the watch lock is per (hub, role), not per
    role+machine — one role can watch several hubs at once.
