First self-hosted alpha of Browser Assistant.

  • Standalone backend, HTML script and React component.
  • Authenticated gateway example and server authentication hook.
  • English/Korean UI, speech language defaults and time-zone settings.
  • Observed-screen tools, confirmation, cancellation and microphone reuse.
  • Bilingual README, configuration guide, API reference and hands-on tutorials.
  • A 37-second real-provider recording with fictional customer data.

Validation: 8 unit tests, gateway integration, clean-package installation, and 20 browser checks across Chromium, Firefox, WebKit and mobile emulation. CI passed on Linux with Node.js 22.14.0 and 24, and macOS with Node.js 24.

Physical iPhone/Android microphone testing is not yet complete. This is an alpha, not a device certification. Managed-service API keys, subscriptions and billing are not included.

Install the React package:

npm install github:codestepteam/browser-assistant#v0.1.0

Or install the attached .tgz. Serve the attached widget.js for plain HTML. Run the backend with your own AI provider API key as described in the README.
