Architecture macOS Windows Linux Server Docker
ARM64 (Apple silicon) DMG AppImage · DEB · RPM macOS · Linux Image
x86-64 (64-bit) DMG EXE · MSI AppImage · DEB · RPM macOS · Linux · Windows Image
x86-64 without AVX2 Linux

Not sure? Macs with an M chip (M1 and newer) take ARM64, almost every Windows and Linux PC takes x86-64. Installed apps update themselves.

Server: curl -fsSL https://usegodmode.com/install.sh | GODMODE_LICENSE=GM-… sh or docker pull ghcr.io/codextde/godmode-bot:0.2.18. Checksums: SHA256SUMS.

Highlights since v0.2.17

  • Runs no longer get stopped while the Mac sleeps: the watchdog only counts awake time, so a closed lid no longer looks like a stalled run (#202)
  • Git fetches started right before sleep no longer time out on wake (#202)
  • Lid-closed mode now sends a notification when it can't keep the Mac awake, with what to do (#202)
  • No more duplicate tasks on My tasks: agents can't add a task that is already open, and status roll-ups or reworded decisions don't create new tickets (#201)

Install

  • macOS: download the .dmg for Apple silicon or Intel
  • Windows: download the .msi or -setup.exe
  • Linux: .AppImage, .deb or .rpm
  • Server: docker pull ghcr.io/codextde/godmode-bot:0.2.18 or the standalone binaries below

Highlights since v0.2.15

  • Drag and drop workspaces and projects: move a project to another workspace, turn it into its own workspace, or drop a whole workspace into another one; agents, chats, tickets, repositories and logins come along, with Undo (#197)
  • Budgets and spend setting: Claude run costs and budgets are now a switch in Settings → AI & Claude → Limits, off by default (#196)
  • CAPTCHA solving turns on by itself once a solver key is saved under API keys (#194)
  • Link a saved 2FA code to a missing-2FA request instead of adding it again (#193)
  • Dreams rewrite the workspace's notes, not only sort them (#195)
  • Heartbeats keep firing on their own schedule again (they only ran at startup after an empty sweep), and long heartbeat chats start a fresh session to stay cheap (#198)
  • Licence checks keep running after a check without a key (#198)
  • A runner or primary that doesn't answer in time is no longer logged as a server error (#199)
  • Phone app: select and copy any part of a chat message on iOS (#190)

Highlights since v0.2.14

  • Claude Code installs and signs in by itself in the system check: onboarding installs missing tools (Claude Code, uv, browser-use, Chromium) without a click and then opens the Claude sign-in (#192)
  • Sign in to Claude with one click: the new "Sign in to Claude" button runs claude auth login, the row turns green by itself once you are signed in, and there is a paste-code fallback when no browser opens (#192)
  • Phone app: new chats preselect Godmode (#191)

Highlights since v0.2.11

  • Lid-closed mode: close the MacBook and Godmode keeps working; switch it in the sidebar or Settings → General (#189)
  • Memory editor: read and edit an agent's MEMORY.md on the desktop and in the phone app (#187)
  • Signed and notarized macOS app: the DMG is signed by Codext GmbH (Developer ID) and notarized by Apple, so it opens with a double click, no Gatekeeper warning (#186)
  • Easy mode: a new interface for everyday office work next to Professional (still the default), switch in onboarding or Settings → General → Interface (#184)
  • Phone app 0.2.0: Calls, Inbox and the desktop's look are back on the phone (#183, #185)

Highlights since v0.2.8

  • Phone calls: agents call people for you, Godmode answers its own number, recognises you on inbound calls and turns your requests into tasks, leaves voicemail messages, greets in the line's language (#159, #160, #163, #168, #169, #175)
  • Device groups: several Godmode apps on different computers work as one, with hand-off and fail-over (#176)
  • Mac permissions: checks Device control, Screen Recording and Full Disk Access, with a step-by-step setup guide (#179)
  • Passkeys in the Godmode browser, stored in the vault (#170)
  • CAPTCHA solving through 2Captcha, CapSolver or Anti-Captcha (#174)
  • GLM-5.3 on Z.ai for the rare task Claude can't do; GLM runs load MCP tools on demand (#158, #166)
  • Plugins: install MCP servers with their agent skills straight from a repository (#162)
  • My tasks backlog column; agents can pause their own automations and create projects (#164, #171, #173)
  • Vault fills logins inside cross-origin iframes (#165)
  • More reliable runs: retries when the connection to Claude drops or Claude Code ends a turn with an error, no more /goal stop-hook loops (#167, #172, #177)
  • 31 problems found in the logs fixed (#161, #178, #180)

Godmode now controls real Android phones, installs Claude Code plugins from GitHub and can staff a whole company from ready-made roles. Open questions from agents land in My tasks, Telegram voice messages work, and the phone app is much faster.

Highlights

  • Android phones: agents see and control real phones and emulators over adb (USB or Wi-Fi); you watch every phone live and can take over at any time.
  • Plugins: Mods are now Plugins. Install whole Claude Code plugins from GitHub in one click (Claude Video and oh-my-claudecode are featured), switch them on or off, update and uninstall them.
  • Agent templates: 118 role templates and org charts to hire one role or install a whole team with its reporting lines.
  • My tasks: questions, approvals and decisions an agent leaves open become tickets in My tasks, and your answer continues the agent's chat.
  • Telegram voice: voice and round video messages to a Telegram bot are transcribed and reach the agent as text.
  • Automations: managers can schedule agents that read secrets; those automations run fill-only (logins are typed into pages, no raw secrets are read).
  • Dreaming: agents consolidate their MEMORY.md while idle.
  • Phone app: long chats open instantly, smooth scrolling, lists show at once on start, and more of the desktop's features.
  • Fixes: problems from the logs (HTTP, database, performance), including database cleanup in small steps instead of one full VACUUM and agent repositories that keep installed packages out of git.

Godmode Bot v0.2.5

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Oct 12:15

Godmode now fixes itself from its own logs, picks up work a restart or an outage cut off, and keeps your machine tidy. Plus payment cards in the vault, a more complete phone app and many runner and performance fixes.

Highlights

  • Fixes itself: "Fix in code" in Settings → Logs and on every runner card turns a log into a coding ticket that can merge itself; a nightly self-repair agent files new problems on its own.
  • Work goes on: chats, automations and handoffs that a restart of Godmode or a lost internet connection cut off continue by themselves. Archived chats keep going too, and the Archived page shows what is still running.
  • Runners: move a chat from a runner back to this computer, a steadier link (flow control, patches instead of full updates) and faster runner chats.
  • Vault: payment cards with spending limits that agents pay with (card numbers stay hidden), and agents save logins you paste into the chat right away.
  • Agents manage more: Godmode can create workspaces and projects and change its own settings from a chat.
  • Phone app: projects, My tasks, subagents, loading states, and setting up instructions, workspaces, projects and agents from the phone.
  • Cleanup: a daily cleanup of old scratch files, run logs and agent history, and dreams tidy each agent's workspace.
  • Fixes: sent messages no longer disappear in long chats, no more blank browser windows, runs stay in their own browser profile, My tasks shows what is really there, the Linux arm64 desktop build works, and browser-use installs on fresh machines again (it now runs on Python 3.11 to 3.14; Python 3.15 has no packages for its dependencies yet).

Godmode Bot v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 09 Oct 06:23

The biggest update since the first release: a task board your agents work through on their own, a phone app, chat channels, budgets, mods and a lot more. Godmode Bot is open source again under the MIT License.

Highlights

  • Task board: Kanban tickets agents work on. Coding tickets get their own git worktree and end in a pull request, with direct merge after approval. Sub-tickets, tickets that wait for others, automatic retries, goals with progress, archive.
  • Agents as a team: org chart and list view grouped by workspace, start a whole team in one click, agent templates, drag and drop between workspaces, heartbeats and a run watchdog, subagents shown in chats.
  • Needs you: one list of questions, approvals and tasks agents hand to you ("My tasks"), plus a "while you were away" summary.
  • Phone app for iOS and Android: chat, tickets, attachments and a live view of the browser or VM, paired over Tailscale.
  • Talk to agents from Slack, Telegram and Microsoft Teams.
  • Automations: random start times in a window, several runs a day (random times or a fixed interval), agents can schedule their own follow-ups.
  • Spend and budgets: see what the team costs and cap it per month.
  • Mods: Claude Code mods for your agents, with a gallery, options and an editor.
  • More ways to work: SSH servers, any API through Tools (Nano Banana, OpenAI and more), macOS VMs with vault logins inside the guest, projects in workspaces, folders and git repositories attached to workspaces, connect Claude Code or any MCP app to manage agents from outside.
  • Browser: every chat gets its own tab, browser profiles per workspace, bot-detection hardening with a check in Settings, browsers start on demand, muted by default and never steal focus.
  • Runner: auto-update with an Update button, Tailscale support, better health checks.
  • Everyday polish: ⌘K search, keyboard shortcuts (G then a key), pause and continue, waiting out Claude's usage limit, message queueing mid-task, unlimited attachments, password import, faster logins picker, diagnostic logs and data cleanup in Settings.
