Mailbox 0.0.4
The first tagged release. Mail, Calendar, People, Tasks, Notes, Journal and Feeds in one
desktop application for Linux — open protocols only (IMAP, POP3, SMTP, CalDAV, CardDAV),
everything stored locally, no cloud service behind it, no AI features, no telemetry. The
README carries the full feature set; the wiki's Hardening page describes the security
posture with pointers into the code and checks you can run yourself.
Artifacts
Mailbox-0.0.4-linux-x64.tar.gz— self-contained; extract anywhere and run./mailbox,
or runpackaging/install-desktop-files.shfor the desktop entry. The hardened launcher
ships inpackaging/for anyone who wants the confinement without a package.mailbox_0.0.4_amd64.deb— Debian 13 and relatives. Installs/usr/bin/mailbox, a
launcher that confines the application in a hardened transient systemd user unit and runs
the binary directly where no user manager exists.packaging/aur/PKGBUILD(in the repository at this tag) repackages the tarball for Arch,
checksum pinned.
The .deb was verified in a clean debian:trixie container before upload: the install
resolves, every bundled library links with nothing missing, the reading pane's engine and
the keyring and notification tools are reachable, and the application starts to the point of
asking for a display.
