1.4.3
What's new in 1.4.3
A bug-fix release: two charts were showing stale or misattributed data.
Fixed: "Word growth" was frozen on old notes
The per-note word-growth card ranked documents by their total accumulated
growth over the whole retained history. Documents you had written heavily weeks
ago kept a large frozen total, so they permanently occupied the card while notes
you were writing right now never showed up.
- Ranking is now based on growth over the last 7 days, with a mild decay by
time since last edit — the list slides forward as you write, so the notes you
are actually working on float to the front. - Removed a
points.length > 1filter that silently dropped brand-new notes
written in a single sitting (they only had one sample). - A document with a single sample point now renders a visible dot instead of an
empty chart. - If there is no writing activity in the last 7 days, the card falls back to the
most recently edited documents instead of going blank.
Fixed: historical time was all counted as "Uncategorized"
Settled daily summaries store their time keyed by top-level folder
(e.g. 01-日记与反思|9). When those summaries were deserialized back into
sessions, the reconstructed path contained no /, so the folder classifier
treated every one of them as a root-level file and bucketed them all under
Uncategorized.
In a real vault this put 83% of all tracked time into Uncategorized and
pushed it to the top of the topic ranking.
- Historical summary time is now attributed to its real top-level folder.
- This corrects every view built on topic classification: topic duration
ranking, hour × topic matrix, folder tree, today's topics, and the
insights card.
Improved: clickable note names
Note names in the Document Performance table (all five leaderboards) are now
links that open the note, matching the behavior already present in the
Document Profile card. Long paths wrap inside the cell instead of stretching
the table.
1.4.2
What's new in 1.4.2
This release hardens the daily-summary retention introduced in 1.4.0 and fixes a batch of regressions.
Data integrity fixes
- Historical summary docs now feed document rankings, "forgotten", and revisit patterns (previously they were silently dropped, so document stats only covered recent days).
- Deleted files are filtered out of the historical summary too — they no longer linger in "Forgotten" or document rankings.
- "Tracked since" now correctly traces back to the earliest historical summary (a pathExists filter was discarding all synthetic summary events).
Dashboard fixes
- Card titles no longer disappear on re-render (today / summary / data quality / document performance / document profile / timeline).
- Document activity switcher now defaults to the "day" granularity.
- Attention-flow graph no longer counts synthetic summary sessions as topic switches.
Data quality card
- "Excluded" now shows the cumulative count of filtered abnormal sessions (including those removed during summarization).
- Coverage no longer exceeds 100% (fixed a UTC-vs-local timezone bug in the denominator).
All copy is bilingual 中文 / English.

What's new in 1.3.1
Richer Data Quality card
The "Data quality" card now shows:
- Coverage as a progress bar with "active on {n} of {m} days" detail
- Tracked since with the total tracked days
- Excluded phrased as abnormal (idle) sessions
- A one-line hint explaining what these metrics mean
All copy is bilingual 中文 / English.

Honest metrics (Analytics Trust)
- views → visits — "Views" now accurately means session count, not page views.
- New per-document metrics: active days and revisit rate (visits ÷ active days).
- Read/write charts are labeled "Read (est.)" / "Write (est.)" — these are heuristic estimates, marked as such.
Richer content rankings
"Document Performance" is now five switchable leaderboards:
- Most visited · Most time · Most written · Most revisited · Trending
Fact-based revisit labels
Replaced psychological labels with observable ones:
- 深耕型 → Deep focus
- 复习型 → Frequent revisits
- 写不动型 → Quick visits
Data quality card
A new "Data quality" card shows:
- Tracked since — first recorded date
- Coverage — % of tracked days that have data
- Excluded — count of filtered abnormal sessions
All copy is bilingual 中文 / English.
1.2.3
1.2.2
Fixes
- Word counts are now sampled from the file snapshot (cachedRead) instead of the live editor, fixing inflated "added" counts that occurred when a note was still loading.
- Plugin id reverted to obstracker (IDs must stay stable once published); display name remains MindTrace.
What's new (carried from 1.2.0): a "Today's Summary" card with a plain-language daily recap + insights (top topic, peak hour, streak, week-over-week), bilingual 中文/English.
1.2.1
1.2.1
Important fix: reverted the plugin id back to obstracker — Obsidian requires plugin IDs to remain stable after submission. The display name is still MindTrace.
What's new (carried over from 1.2.0)
"Today's Summary" card at the top of the dashboard: a one-line daily recap (active time, chars written, top topic, streak) plus plain-language insights — most invested topic, peak focus hour, most engaged weekday, longest streak — and a week-over-week comparison.
All copy is bilingual (中文 / English), following your language setting.
Refreshed description & README with clearer "time & attention tracker" positioning.
1.2.0
What's new in 1.2.0
Plain-language daily summary
A new "Today's Summary" card sits at the top of the dashboard and tells you — in plain language — what your day looked like:
- Today's one-liner — active time, chars written, top topic, and current streak, assembled only from what's available.
- Insights — your most invested topic, peak focus hour, most engaged weekday, longest streak.
- Week-over-week — the topic that changed the most vs last week, phrased as "more/less".
All copy is bilingual (中文 / English) and follows your language setting. Every insight is computed from real data — no guessing, with a graceful empty state when there isn't enough history yet.
Discoverability
- Refreshed the description and README with clearer "time & attention tracker" positioning, plus a Chinese intro.
