Crema 1.0.0 — first release

A quiet companion for your Mac's notch. Native and out of the way.

Crema shows what's playing near the notch — album art, a touch of its color, and
the controls you reach for — and gives volume, screen brightness, and keyboard
backlight their own HUDs that can optionally replace the system's.

Highlights

  • Now playing at the notch: artwork, an accent color drawn from it, and play/pause,
previous, next, and a draggable scrubber.
  • Its own volume, screen-brightness, and keyboard-backlight HUDs — optionally
    replacing the native ones.
  • Three styles — notch, card, and classic — one per display.
  • Lives in the menu bar with no Dock icon; surfaces briefly when the track changes,
    then tucks away.
  • A Settings window for styles, HUD behavior, permissions, and launch at login.

Requirements: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later · Apple Silicon or Intel.

Install: download Crema.dmg below, open it, and drag Crema into Applications.
Crema isn't notarized by Apple, so the first launch needs one extra step —
