Claude Code now uses the claude.ai p2e connector as the only P2E MCP. The plugin no longer ships its own copy for Claude Code, which needed a separate sign-in and returned 401 in cloud sessions.

Removed

  • Root .mcp.json — moved to .codex-plugin/mcp.json, so Claude Code no longer auto-loads a plugin:p2e:p2e server. Codex reads the new path through .codex-plugin/plugin.json. Cursor is unchanged (.cursor/mcp.json).

Changed

  • Hooks — the PreToolUse slug validator now matches connector tools (mcp__p2e__*), keeping the legacy mcp__plugin_p2e_p2e__* prefix. Both hooks also accept product_slug in .p2e/project.json.
  • p2e-mode (both mirrors), README, CLAUDE.md, reference/ — document the connector as the Claude Code MCP path.
  • scripts/validate-plugin.py — checks the new Codex MCP path and that no root .mcp.json comes back.
  • Manifests bumped to 0.15.2.
