Poetic Opening

Source checked: Wikisource, "Sensation" from Rimbaud's Poésies (written March 1870), complete first quatrain of two.
Selection: Complete original quatrain and complete English quatrain.

Original (complete stanza):

Par les soirs bleus d'été, j'irai dans les sentiers,
Picoté par les blés, fouler l'herbe menue :
Rêveur, j'en sentirai la fraîcheur à mes pieds.
Je laisserai le vent baigner ma tête nue.

English (complete stanza, working translation):

On blue summer evenings I will walk the footpaths,
pricked by the wheat, treading the fine grass:
dreaming, I will feel its coolness at my feet.
I will let the wind bathe my bare head.

Arthur Rimbaud, "Sensation"

What's Changed

This is a small, focused patch. It repairs a workspace sidebar regression that
v0.7.0 introduced, and it does nothing else.

  • Your workspace bar is back. The sidebar row carrying the workspace name,
the collapse arrow, and the add-folder and refresh buttons stays where it
belongs, at the top of the workspace list.
  • The sidebar scrolls where you send it. It no longer pulls itself back
down a moment after you scroll up, and with more than one workspace it no
    longer jitters between two positions.
  • Scrolling near the workspace bar feels right. The file tree now treats
the strip behind that bar as off screen, which is what it always should have
done. Revealing a row with the keyboard, or jumping to a file, lands it where
you can actually see it rather than just under the bar.

Nothing else in the editor changed. No new settings, no new shortcuts, no
changes to how your files, drafts, sessions, notes, or workspaces are stored.

Manual Actions Needed

No manual action is needed for this release. Your workspaces, open tabs,
settings, notes, and history carry over untouched. If v0.7.0 left your sidebar
scrolled oddly, simply opening v0.7.1 puts it right.

Warnings and Deprecations

No deprecations, and nothing is being removed. This release adds no new
warnings; it removes a defect that had been quietly hiding a second one.

Bug Fixes

  • The workspace bar could be scrolled out of reach. In v0.7.0 the sidebar
scrolled itself down by the exact height of the workspace bar as soon as a
workspace was shown, leaving that bar hidden above the visible area. Trying
to scroll back up snapped the list straight to the tree's first row. The
cause was inside the container that keeps the file tree fast on very large
folders: it mistook its own resting position for a request from the tree to
scroll somewhere else, and then honoured that request on every layout pass.
  • Two or more workspaces made the sidebar oscillate. The same mistake made
each workspace section pull the sidebar in the opposite direction from its
neighbour, so the view bounced between two positions indefinitely and the end
of the list could never be reached. Both symptoms share one fix.
  • Revealed rows could land behind the workspace bar. Correcting the above
exposed a second defect it had been masking: the file tree was told it had
more visible space than it really did, by the height of the bar above it, so
a row revealed by keyboard navigation or by jumping to a file could come to
rest just under that bar. The tree is now given the space it genuinely has.

This fix lives in the reusable GTK Lush widget layer rather than in LushText's
own sidebar code, so anything else built on that container gets the same
repair. The behaviour is now covered at four levels, from pure unit and
property tests through widget-level and full sidebar journeys, with each new
check verified to fail against the original defect.
