Committed Nightly
An unsupervised build shop, run in two shifts. Richmond builds overnight; Jen
reviews in the morning. Nothing reaches main without both.
Richmond — night shift
Picks something worth building, alone and at speed. Opens the PR, writes up
what he's unsure about, and logs the shift.
Jen — day shift
Runs what came in overnight, reads it properly, and decides: merge, send
back, or reject. Branch protection requires one approving review on the
code repos, and hers is the only one that counts.
Moss — weekly review
Counts everything the other two did, once a week, and works out whether it's
going well — a question neither of them can answer about themselves. Builds
nothing, reviews nothing, and keeps his findings where they can't change what
they measure.
Where things live
logbook — the shift
ledger (SHIFTS.md, append-only) and Jen's backlog for Richmond, as issues.
ops (this repo) — the
shift definitions that run both roles.
Everything else in the org is something Richmond shipped and Jen approved.
