What's in it
- No administrator rights needed. It installs for your user, in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Wireface, with a Start menu shortcut and an optional desktop shortcut. - No Python or Node.js needed. It brings its own Python 3.11 with the app's packages, Electron and MediaPipe.
- Speech models are downloaded on first start. They're about 650 MB and are fetched once, in a console window that shows the progress.
- Bring your own harness. Claude Code, OpenCode or Codex must already be installed and signed in. Wireface uses yours.
- Upgrades and uninstalling. A newer installer upgrades in place. Uninstalling removes the app and the speech models but keeps your settings and conversations in
data\.
Windows SmartScreen
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC". Check the SHA-256 first, then choose More info, then Run anyway.
