Added:

  • New hint: abi3 (Python version-independent) recipes that do not run abi3audit in their tests are now hinted to add it, so that accidental use of non-abi3 CPython API is caught at build time rather than at runtime on a later Python. Applies to both meta.yaml and recipe.yaml recipes. (#2640)
  • New hint: abi3 (Python version-independent) v1 recipes that still carry the manual ignore_run_exports: {from_package: [cross-python_${{ target_platform }}]} workaround are now hinted to remove it, since recent rattler-build strips the cross-python python run-export automatically for abi3 recipes (prefix-dev/rattler-build#2252).   • New hint R1-005: Python version-independent v1 recipes (e.g. abi3, via build.python.version_independent) whose Python test only runs against a single Python version are now hinted to test against both ${{ python_min }}.* and "*" (the latest supported Python), unless the run requirements cap the Python upper bound.   • A check for a recipe's extra.feedstock-name not matching the feedstock repository name. (#2607)
  • New hint R1-004: noarch: python v1 recipes whose Python test only runs against a single Python version are now hinted to test against both ${{ python_min }}.* and "*" (the latest supported Python), unless the run requirements cap the Python upper bound. (#2580)
  • New hint R1-006: v1 (rattler-build) recipes that define SP_DIR themselves (e.g. export SP_DIR=$(python -c "import site; ...")) are hinted to remove it. This was a workaround for $SP_DIR previously being undefined in rattler-build, which now provides it. (#2619)
  • Debug tasks for rattler-build in Pixi-enabled feedstocks. (#2598)
  • New hint R-052: recipes that redefine python_min (via context in v1 recipes or {% set %} in v0 recipes) to the same value as (or a lower value than) conda-forge's global pinning default are hinted to remove the redundant override. The global default is fetched from the pinning feedstock with the same cached, fail-quiet pattern used for hints.toml. (#2581)
