Contrapunk v1.3.1 — Holdsworth HAL
A patch release focused on plug-in reliability and FL Studio usability.
Bug fixes
- Windows plug-in editor: uses the per-user WebView2 data directory, fixing editor startup when FL Studio redirects temporary files into its protected installation directory.
- Windows dropdowns: native option text now has an explicit dark palette instead of appearing blank until hovered.
- Built-in monitor noise: instrument layouts replace undefined host output rather than mixing with it; non-finite samples are rejected and output is bounded.
- Tightness: Loose, Smooth, and Strict now reach the plug-in as distinct Free, Jazz, and Palestrina voice-leading styles. The control now explains that it affects voice leading, not timing.
- Monitor release: adds an adjustable 20–4000 ms release parameter, with a smoother 400 ms default.
FL Studio routing
To drive Serum or another generator, assign Contrapunk an FL Studio wrapper Output port and assign the destination plug-in the same Input port. Patcher and loopMIDI remain available when wrapper-port forwarding is unavailable.
See the version 1.3 release page and plug-in guide.
Downloads
