How to make VBEMP work in Windows NT 4.0?

There is a mouse issue in Windows NT 4.0 Profile built by Pixelsuft, so I plan to setup a new guest following this guide.

Prepare QEMU image

After installing Windows NT 4.0 Workstation (4.00.1381.1.sp1) and VBEMP 2015.01.01 in QEMU, the VM boot to BSOD (I can only boot in VGA mode). Then I copied vbemp.sys from @Pixelsuft 's profile, and the VM works well.

Run in v86

I put this image into v86 (with cpuid_level = 2), but the boot hangs at "1 system processor [128 MB Memory]" and no further error messages (VGA mode also works well).

Questions

1. Are there any changes on vbemp.sys in Pixelsuft's profile comparing with original VBEMP 2015.01.01?
2. Are there any tricks that can make VBEMP work in Windows NT 4.0? (the guide doesn't mention this)

What games did you test?

StarCraft. But nothing to do with the game. After several minutes' running even don't run game, mouse still moves or clicks randomly.

Interesting, it works fine on a modern computer (M4), but breaks on an old one (4th-gen i5).

There is no such issue in Windows NT 3.51. I need to try NT 4.0 because NT 3.51 doesn't support DirectX.

Try installing the SP6a update or use VMware mouse (see SuperMaxusa@27df948, doesn't work on mobile devices).

This VMware mouse behavior weird: when lock mouse within screen_container, mouse pointer usually goes to top-right automatically. I need to press Esc to unlock mouse then pointer turns back.

I tried SP6a, which disabled mouse wheel, but encountered this issue. Then I copied sp6a's i8042prt.sys, kbdclass.sys and mouclass.sys into sp1 image then the mouse issue disappeared :-)
