Version 0.0.5.3
This release is more for me than it is for you. I've rewritten the code so it's more organized and I can do more with it in the future. There is probably some bugfixes and small changes that I can't name as I probably fixed them when I was do the rewrite.
As a note, for the first time when I ran the EXE, I got a windows SmartScreen warning. You can press More Info then Run Anyway to ignore it, but if you want to be safer, you can run the PYZ files with python 3.12 or higher. PYZ files are an archive with some start instructions, so you can look inside and inspect for any bad code before running.
- Character now respect the
facingargument in the yml, so all character should face to the left if implemented correctly. - Added more warnings/errors that can occur as well as advice to fix them. By default the program will still create the HTML correctly, but it may not match how the game displays it.
There be some commits to this repo over the next bit as I redo the webserver so it's not just a quick solution, but there shouldn't be any major features.
The only thing that's on my radar for upgrades is to add a mode where you can run it as a local websever, so if you make changes to any files in the folder, it will rescan and update the html with the differences
Version 0.0.5.2
- Updated the json2yaml to add more feedback and no longer removes files if it fails
- Fixed an error where if a mutation did not have an accessory, it would cause a uncaught error
- Guarantee order when processing characters and show total number of characters that need to be processed
Version 0.0.5.1
- Certain arguments can now be added by making an entry in the scenario.yml file. You can find these arguements in the readme here
- A web server now exists, so you don't have to download the exe. Instead you can go to my website here. It does not handle big files well, so please download the tool if the upload is taking a while.
Version 0.0.5
I said in the last release I didn't have anymore ideas, but I came up with one as I did some sanity checking. This release is focused on making it easier to find things and use it as a replacement for expression sheets.
Main changes
- Added a custom search function that replaces the normal control find. Allows the user to search by all aspects of a character, including accessory names and the minimum number of faces a character may have. It's available on both the normal and outfit view main page, but since the outfit view splits poses, it is recommended to try it their instead. You can see how to use the filters by pressing
sor hitting the light bulb icon after opening the search bar - By pressing
xon any character page, you now go into "Expression sheet mode". This mode puts all pose expression sheets on one page, and has a hovering example of each of the poses, so you can tell what pose belongs to what expression.
Other changes
- Addressed numpy being to aggressive when attempting to remove/suggest empty images to be removed. Instead it now only try on faces as the original point was to make sure the expression sheets are small.
- Adjusted keybinds to ensure it didn't overlap with browser keybinds (Excluding CTRL-f for search) by not allowing keybinds when a modifier key is pressed.
- Adjusted the intro, as my lack of design skills have made the title as a button not the most stand out. Hopefully it should encourage people to hover on everything.
- If a user chooses to save the URL as a bookmark/link so they can quickly navigate to it, they can add
&hideextrainfoto the url. This will make it so when loaded, the outfits and accessories will already be hidden, so the user has a direct link to the expression sheet. This also works when expression sheet mode is enabled.
Version 0.0.4.1
Numpy was added to deal with stray pixels affecting the size of the expression sheets. It does slow down the program, but it's a necessary fix to match the downloaded expression sheets/RobotKyoko
Version 0.0.4
Been a while since a release. Made some real progress too.
I've been working on this off and on as I get motivation/feel the need to fix something. Having trouble figuring out what's next so It might be a while
Main page enhancements
- Added an intro page that allows users to pick between light and dark mode + warnings about artifacts.
- Modified the shortcuts page to a model that can be viewed by the info button or the I key
- Added the ability to filter the main page by a minimum number of poses. This will also apply to the keyboard shortcuts
- CSS has been updated so anything interactable will be highlighted on hover
- By clicking on the title, user can navigate to outfit viewer mode without have to click a shortcut
Character view
- Expression sheet is now made of many small canvas's. This will now adjust the number of face per row based on the size of the window. Will also fix cases where it would show as vertical
- If any blush faces are found for the character, user can toggle the expression sheet to show the blushes instead
- Added buttons to change characters instead of being forced to use the keyboard shortcuts
- Added a basic sprite viewer. This allows the user change outfits and try on any accessory included in the pack.
- User can hide the outfits/accessories column so the expression sheet will be at the top of the page.
Other things
- User can now define a custom Favicon from the command line which will replace the syn face
- Warning and error message are added to help make sure the character behaves as expected
- Sadly, with all the new data needed for for the feature, the size has increased by alot.
Version 0.0.3.1
This release isn't very big, but adds some missing features to the HTML.
Default accessories now work. They are applied on all pages. I cannot add a default face the same way, as there are some layering problems that may already be shown. If you see them, do not worry. It is only there in the HTML. The actual game will look fine
Added some QOL things to the HTML such as when hovering over an outfit, the path to the folder will show.
I didn't state this in the last release but the EXE icon is Syn who also comes the Holy Pack
2023-05-23: Removed jQuery dependency from html file. This should allow one to use it in offline more now.
Version 0.0.3
An exe has been added so python doesn't need to be installed.
This are zipped python files. They can be run like normal python "python STHtml_nor.pyz".
The "hasr" version has pillow, colorama and pyyaml (The 2 needed external libraries) built in so you don't have to install them
While the nor version does not include these, so the they will have to be install on your python interpreter. The command is "pip install -U pyyaml pillow colorama".
Place these into your scenario where scenario.yml and folder characters sit. Then run it.
Included are some utilities and customization if you run -h on it.
Changelog:
- Added new "OutfitViewer" mode. This shows all outfits on the front page by hitting the enter button.
