Presenter 2.1.0 — Presentation sanity checks

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Sep 14:39

Presentation sanity checks

  • New headless presenter --check deck.slides checks the actual measure/arrange layout.
  • --json produces structured, versioned reports with slide/element locations, measurements, severity and suggestions for agent feedback loops.
  • Detects image enlargement, severe cropping, missing/unreadable images, unavailable icons, overflowing text/code, clipped/zero-sized elements, empty slides, small text and low contrast.
  • Heavy image downscaling is informational, not automatically a problem.
  • --strict exits 2 for warnings/errors; --slide N checks a specific slide.
  • Rendering and checks share image-placement geometry.
  • Added checker and headless CLI regression tests; both release platforms now run the complete test suite.
presenter --check --json --strict "My Talk.slides"

Checks are advisory and do not replace screenshot review. See the README for thresholds and limitations.

Presenter 2.0.0 — Explicit layouts

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Sep 14:24

Presenter 2.0 introduces explicit, predictable slide layouts and a simpler presenter view.

Breaking format change

Slide layout presets and nested slides are no longer supported. Each slide now contains one explicit stack, grid, or border root. Migrate older decks using the updated demos and format guide. Slide titles are metadata; visible headings must be text elements.

Changes

  • Shared measure/measureOverride and arrange/arrangeOverride layout lifecycle.
  • Horizontal and vertical stacks; grids with pixel, auto, and weighted-star tracks; row/column spans; margins, padding, sizing constraints, and alignment.
  • Ordered content with fixed font sizes, clipped overflow, and layout diagnostics.
  • Plain presenter view with title and notes, plus a separated pale-yellow “Next:” cue.
  • Square images by default, with optional theme-controlled imageCornerRadius. Rounded images composite correctly over their parent backgrounds.
  • Migrated demo decks, updated schemas, and rewritten agent guidance.
  • 65 layout regression cases and 5,669 checks covering measurements, arrangements, wrapping, spans, rounding, and resizing. All six local test suites pass.
